lyrics
Lurking in the depths of the dungeon
Conjuring evil spells
Locked in its chamber stirring the cauldron
As warriors come to kill
Turning virgins into witches
Through black magic sorcery
Evil deeds of malice
No end to the blasphemy
Dark hallways guarded by werewolves
Pentagrams and candlelit skulls
Fight your way through, avoid the pitfalls
Beware it wants your soul
Enter the chamber with an ax
Walls are written in blood
The quest is senseless for when it is beheaded
The curse will live on

Think not this is another boring, samey thrash salad! Like a deadly flower, memorable riffs bloomed as the album went on. By the end, I am ready to sit under the tree, drinking from a skullcup and pondering the riddle of steel. Excellent blend of thrash with other flavors (from trad metal to Western), evoking the might and danger of the cover's diabolical warriors. Bonus for production: love hearing the bark and rasp of pick on strings without it being scrubbed away by computery production. pinkytheent

Sometimes when bands move from demo to first release, they lose something: not as fast or not as evil or too produced.
This album is not one of them.
The recording is cleaner, so you can hear things better than _Rise of Death_ but otherwise, this has the same black thrash from the speed layer of the Abyss sound.
Highly recommended for fans of Shakma, Nuclear Revenge, early Kreator, or Gallower.
Several horns way up. perverseosmosis
The Brazilian metal outfit teaches a lesson in exemplary thrash, delivering palm-mute chugging, dexterous fretwork, and infuriated-but-intelligible vocals on every song Bandcamp Album of the Day Jan 21, 2021

I've gotten myself into GR by first getting their last album, then decided to give this one a go too. Atoms divide, life decays, seems we are into nuclear explosions here, that is how GR feels, a powerful and fast blitz and stormy riffs and groovy hardcorish - thrashy blasts. Highly recommended for all thrash lovers out there. Toxic Holocaust does come in mind, true that, Wraith, Municipal Waste fans should love this ! sachavonkarl74
