Prehistoric beast rising from the ice
Razor sharp claws and blood thirsty eyes
Slashing and tearing in a primal rage
Barbarians have disturbed its resting place
Bodies parts fly
Awakened as the relic was destroyed
The beast sends their souls into an empty void
White snow turns red
The foul beast brings upon death
Helpless mortals now will fall
BLOOD TUNDRA
Barbaric invaders unaware
Of the curse they have unleashed
Survival they fight to the end
BLOOD TUNDRA
swords and shields clash in the dawn
As the barbarians spill their blood
Like nothing before they had ever fought
Cursed is the land they had sought
Invaders die
None of them ever stood a chance
The battle stops as the beast is encaged in an avalanche
White snow turns red
The foul beast brings upon death
Helpless mortals now will fall
BLOOD TUNDRA
barbaric invaders unaware
Of the curse they have unleashed
Survival they fight to the end
BLOOD TUNDRA
Legions of the dead kept the beast
Frozen. In. Ice.
Head the acient scrolls for again the
Beast. Will. Rise.
He the bastard son.. he was born to
Sac. Ra. Fice.
It will rise again.. thousands more will suffer and.. die!
Think not this is another boring, samey thrash salad! Like a deadly flower, memorable riffs bloomed as the album went on. By the end, I am ready to sit under the tree, drinking from a skullcup and pondering the riddle of steel. Excellent blend of thrash with other flavors (from trad metal to Western), evoking the might and danger of the cover's diabolical warriors. Bonus for production: love hearing the bark and rasp of pick on strings without it being scrubbed away by computery production. pinkytheent
I've gotten myself into GR by first getting their last album, then decided to give this one a go too. Atoms divide, life decays, seems we are into nuclear explosions here, that is how GR feels, a powerful and fast blitz and stormy riffs and groovy hardcorish - thrashy blasts. Highly recommended for all thrash lovers out there. Toxic Holocaust does come in mind, true that, Wraith, Municipal Waste fans should love this ! sachavonkarl74
Sometimes when bands move from demo to first release, they lose something: not as fast or not as evil or too produced.
This album is not one of them.
The recording is cleaner, so you can hear things better than _Rise of Death_ but otherwise, this has the same black thrash from the speed layer of the Abyss sound.
Highly recommended for fans of Shakma, Nuclear Revenge, early Kreator, or Gallower.
Several horns way up. perverseosmosis
The Brazilian metal outfit teaches a lesson in exemplary thrash, delivering palm-mute chugging, dexterous fretwork, and infuriated-but-intelligible vocals on every song Bandcamp Album of the Day Jan 21, 2021
